13/04/2008

For those who don't want to miss it, please note this show has an early start - due to kick off around 5.30pm ...

Emailing the band
24/02/2008

Apologies to those who have tried to email the band using the 'info@rawgallagher.com' address on our main page - we've had a couple of messages passed on to us recently to say that it doesn't appear to be working properly. Unfortunately we can neither verify nor fix the problem at the mo' (we're working on it though...)

In the meantime we'd like to suggest that anyone wishing to contact us 'electronically' should just post a message on the board - also available via the main page. These messages are reviewed and updated regularly, so it's a much quicker (and surer) way of getting in touch.

Apologies for any inconvenience, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible...

** New Band News **
04/12/2007

Raw Gallagher is soon to undergo something of a change!

We're finding of late that the demand for the Rory Gallagher tribute is falling quite alarmingly (we've been averaging about 3 or 4 gigs a month for some time now, where we used to do 3 or 4 a week...)

So, in an effort to keep ourselves on the road - and all of you music fans out there entertained - we've decided to 're-form' under the new name of (drum roll please...) 'The Steve White Band' (imaginative eh?)

The 'new' band will be performing a wider variety of cover versions, still with an emphasis on guitar based rock though. At the moment the set list includes classics by bands such as Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Kinks and Thin Lizzy through to more contemporary bands like Oasis, Green Day and The Police. Some 'heavier' material (Metallica, AC/DC etc.) is also on the menu.

Hopefully, this will appeal to the more mainstream venues and audiences who perhaps don't know Rory's back catalogue so well, although to the diehard fans (we know you're still out there!) we'd like to say Don't worry! We will still be going out as Raw Gallagher too, for those who want to hear it...

Our plan is to eventually set up a new website (or possibly a MySpace er, space) to dedicate to the new band, but for now we're going to publicise any forthcoming gigs on this site (we already have a few bookings) so you'll all know what we're up to. We will of course highlight which gigs are which, so nobody ends up coming to see the wrong band!

As before we will be open to suggestions if there's any particular song(s) that you'd like to hear, we're working on the new set all the time so just send us your requests as usual - if we like them (and if we can play them!) they might just make it into the set.

Finally, to any venues out there who are interested in booking the Steve White Band, the contact details on our homepage remain the same.

We hope you all enjoy the new (and the old) stuff that we're doing and......Keep Rockin'!

- RG

Mailcoach Gig - 29/11/06
29/11/2006

Unfortunatley we have had to cancel the above gig. Steve is sick and poorly at the moment and can't do it. Appologies for the short notice.
Kind Regards, RG.

Steve Norton

It is with great regret that Steve has decided to leave the band. The pressures of a new job and a young family have begun to take their toll.
Steve has decided to play all the rest of this years gigs and then call it a day. He would like to thank Steve, Phil all the friends he has met over the last 2 1/2 years. It has been great! Take care and good luck with the next bass player.
